Welcome and thanks for viewing my blog!
This is meant to be an open forum for sharing questions and having discussions around real life situations. I will post some thoughts (or maybe a challenge) and, as a group, we can share our thoughts or concerns about the topic. We can walk this path together as we build our relationship with the Lord. I'll start by telling you that I am not a pastor or priest or anyone with a degree in Theology. I am a layperson who has been shepherding young adults through their high school and college crises for years. I've also been leading several Bible study groups and leading mission trips to Ecuador. Along the way I've had some interesting discussions and met some interesting people. Each experience has been a step in my faith journey that has ignited my passion for the Lord.
One thing I've learned is that the Bible is the manual or road map for our lives. The amount of time we spend in the Bible, (learning the word, asking questions about the meaning, gaining understanding of the message, and applying what we learn to our lives), the greater the likelihood that we'll be able to at least identify situations where we are being challenged or tested. Being able to properly identify the situation is the first step to being able to discern a course of action. As we walk this path together, we will gain a basic knowledge of the Bible that will act as the foundation on which additional building blocks will be placed.
My goal is to shepherd those that are interested in learning more about the Bible to the pathway that leads to a greater knowledge of and a stronger relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ. Together we will ignite a faith that knows no limits!
The Shepherd
